Baosteel Group is one of the large steel enterprises in China that introduced color coated plate production lines early. Baosteel Group's headquarters currently has three color coated units. Line 1 adopts American WEAN UNITED equipment and was put into operation in 1988. The designed production capacity is 220000 tons/year, with a design thickness of 0.3-2.0mm and a width of 900-1550mm; Line 2 adopts FATA HUNTER equipment from the United States, which was put into operation in 2002 with a designed production capacity of 170000 tons per year, a designed thickness of 0.3-1.0mm, and a width of 700-1250mm; Line 3 was independently designed and developed, put into operation in 2004, with a designed production capacity of 150000 tons per year, a designed thickness of 0.22-1.0mm, and a width of 700-1250mm.

The substrate types of color coated products mainly include hot-dip galvanized, aluminum zinc plated, electroplated galvanized, cold-rolled sheet, and the topcoat types include ordinary polyester, silicon modified polyester, high weather resistant polyester, fluorocarbon, etc. The steel grades are also relatively complete, with a full range of products including general forming, stamping, deep stamping, and high-strength structure. Mainly used in industries such as construction and home appliances, Baosteel is currently a large-scale and comprehensive production base for color coated panels in China.
